Andersonville drew its name from its history as the Swedish neighborhood in the multi-ethnic quilt that is Chicago. Today, neighborhood residency is a mash-up of diversity with large chunks of Middle Eastern, North African, LBGT and Asian communities. You can still find the roots of Andersonville’s Swedish heritage represented by several shops, restaurants and the Swedish American Museum which make their home in this unique neighborhood.
In the near future, Neighborhood Tourist will show you these sights and many more.
